The fruitr.co.uk Domain

The fruitr.co.uk domain was used to host the image recognition system I build with other hackers at the Yahoo! Hack Day in Alexandra Palace. The system regularly downloads all fruit from flickr tagged fruitr. You upload a picture of a fruit and the system compares the image to the pictures from flickr. If there is a good match it looks at the other tags associated with that picture on Flickr to guess what type of fruit it is. If there is an exact match it shows you a recepie from the BBC website which uses that fruit. All very silly but really very sophisticated.
