We headed off to Swanage for a weekend trip with the dive club. I picked up Akiko and Pip on my way down in the Peugeot 206. I got very lost around Finchley Road but eventually found it and picked up Pip. We got to the B&B fairly late and headed to the pub for a few beers. I shared a room with Aiden and Trevor.
We had planned to dive off Swanage peir but the first day the wind was up and loads of silt was being kicked up off the bottom. Instead we headed to Chesil Beach (Boggie and Sarah went to Monkey World). Chesil beach was very sheltered but it was virtually impossible to get up out of the water after dives becuase of the waves, the pebbles and the steepness of the beach.

On the second dive I had a go at being the leader, we did a similar route but I had trouble working out exactly where we were in realtion to the shore at some points. The swell of the seaweed is a good indicater though.
Once again, getting out and walking up the beach was genuinely really exhausting.
On the second day we considered taking a boat out but after looking at the conditions I was the only one still up for it so we decided against it and went to Corfe Castle instead. In the afternoon the weather was lovely so those with tanks decided to go for a dive after all. Where was it????. I wondered off with Pip, Boggie and Sarah (Pip and I didn't hire kit) to go fossil hunting and had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. I was left thinking it would be really nice to have my own kit though.
