The Stable Kaye Effect

I've just come across this `video on YouTube of leaping shampoo <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GX4_3cV_3Mw>`_. According to Wikipedia the effect was discovered by a British Physicist names Alan Kaye. I'm naturally quite suspicious of this sort of effect and although I couldn't replicate it myself using Herbal Essences there does appear to be a `research paper to accompany the video <http://arxiv.org/ftp/physics/papers/0603/0603183.pdf>`_.
